While in the pursuit of happiness,
one should stop -
and just be happy . . .

Proof!

Joe likes to tell people that he never gets to sit on the back porch and watch the river roll by because his "Honey-Do" list is always too long.  Here is proof positive that that is not always the case :)

Samuel's Blessing Day

Plan A was to get a photo of Samuel in his white clothes.
I settled for this one.
He had to have a change of clothes.
You can guess why.
But oh, look at that sweet face :)

Afterward, back at the Jones house, they treated me to some yummy taco salad and some even yummier homemade coconut ice cream and I shared some wonderfully delicious brownies that I took ;-)
And then I watched Patrick make two little boys very happy.

(Joe helped with the blessing, but left after the meeting to get his truck that had been at Matthew's for several months and drive it home.  It was a miserably hot/humid day and there were several storms in the area and he wanted to get the old truck home as soon as possible).

Mother's Day

Lori's fam came to spend the night on the Saturday before Mother's Day.  They went to church with us the next morning and then we all headed to Mom's to share our lunch with her.  Bryce and his fam met us there.  Don't know what happened, but I only ended up with one pic --

She is listening to the card that Darla sent her.
She could only hear it if she put it right up by her ear.
So sweet.

What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong

I see trees of green,
red roses too.
I see them bloom,
for me and you.
And I think to myself,
what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue,
And clouds of white.
The bright blessed day,
The dark sacred night.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow,
So pretty in the sky.
Are also on the faces,
Of people going by,
I see friends shaking hands.
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying,
"I love you".

I hear babies cry,
I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more,
Than I'll ever know.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.

Yes, I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.

Four Sisters Together

While Carolyn was in TN - she, Agnes, and I went to visit Kathy in Kingsport, TN.  We arrived around noon, and stayed until almost six.  We had a sweet reunion.  I took some old pictures and we spent some time looking at those - and sharing memories.  We did a little decorating in her room and visited and visited and visited.  It was hard to say goodbye.  Time and cancer and pneumonia have and are taking their toll.  We pray for better days, but are so thankful for a Wednesday on the first day of May in the year 2013 that all of us were together - strengthening our sisterhood and creating a very special memory.
