It was sure nice to have Brett home for a few days - including New Year's Eve. Patrick picked him up in Nashville and then they picked up Lori & the boys and all came here. We all celebrated by eating too much and just spending time together. The Jones Family went home the next day.
Brett & I went to see The Hobbit that night. Joe was feeling pretty rough from a cold that just wouldn't let go. Brett was able to do some other family visiting while he was here before I took him to Knoxville to stay with Blake a little while. We met him and Lauren at a Cracker Barrel in West Knoxville and had a late lunch together before I headed back. So nice to spend time with them.
On the way back, I stopped in Cookeville and did a little shopping. Then I went to see Les Miserables. I wanted to go by myself because after I heard what boo-hooers others had been, I thought I'd rather sob alone. I took extra tissues with me, only to discover that I didn't shed a tear. Sure loved the movie, though!
