While in the pursuit of happiness,
one should stop -
and just be happy . . .

Christmas Eve

I went with the Joneses to visit G'ma M on Christmas Eve.  Will & Jack rode with me and we stopped by Little House to see how much water was in the river since it had rained so much.  They had never seen Rocky River so high and thought it was pretty cool.  I thought it was pretty cool that they let me read The Night Before Christmas to them night.  I didn't know that Patrick took a pic, but I'm sure glad he did and that he shared it with me later.

It was fun to watch the boys open their gifts the next morning.  It had been a while since we had little ones here on Christmas morning, so it was a special treat.  Brett came later and had dinner with us, and Bryce came by to get some goodies to share with his fam - some of whom were sick.

Here's a pic of my first attempt at making this Christmas wreath - it had a dark chocolate filling and was drizzled with vanilla icing:

Not too shabby, huh?

Shangri La Christmas Gathering

We've outgrown the kitchen, dining room, and living room
for the meal part of our big family gatherings.
Heaters in the garage made for a nice Plan B.
And no worries about spills!
If we outgrow this spot, I guess we'll have to move to the barn!!!
