Well, we didn't have to dig all the way to China to find water, but we did have to go 100 feet further than we had hoped. That's the not-as-great-as-we-had-hoped-for news. The good news is that the water is clear.
On May 4th, Milton Mills met us at the Dumplin' Mountain Road property. With his trusty green wild cherry branch, he began the age-old, low-tech process for water witchin' / divinin' - take your pick. Nine days and 262' later, we struck water - not as good a stream as we had hoped for, but sufficient for our needs. We are so relieved that he did, in fact, hit water before he hit limestone. That would have been VERY disappointing!!!
