We went out to watch the last session of General Conference this
afternoon at G'ma M's. She sat in the green recliner for almost all of
it, and I'm sure, heard almost nothing - the volume would have had to be
really turned up for that - and Joe & I would most likely have lost
some of our hearing had we done so. The last hymn was Abide with Me,
'tis Eventide. I told Joe to crank up the volume - thought she might
like to hear that familiar hymn. As soon as he did, she got up and did a
quick G'ma shuffle to the loveseat to see if she could see the Mormon
Tabernacle Choir sing that beloved hymn. What a sweet moment!
