Easy As Pie . . .

It's been a very rainy day today. The rain/storms began about 3:30 this morning. Joe says we've received about 3 inches. So, our poison ivy spraying and brush burning at RR that we planned to do today was postponed. Instead, our house has received some much needed attention - well, a few parts of it. We've also been in the kitchen. For the first time, but not the last, we made this Concord Grape Pie. Oh my. I'm not much of a pie lover, but I really like this one. Gracie's grandmother makes them and was so thoughtful to send a piece to Joe and me by Brett a month or so ago. We loved it. We told him to ask her for her recipe - which she sent - along with the grapes that she had already prepared for the pie. So, this pie was as easy as pie! Ours isn't as good as hers, but we plan on practicing until we're perfect. Just one more reason to hope that Joe has an abundant grape harvest. Besides loving to eat them right from the vine, we're also looking forward to some more of Joe's wonderful grape jelly.
